Dear praying friends,

Sometimes we get so involved in fighting the battles that we forget that so much of what we deal with is really a spiritual battle. And the way to fight that part of it is through prayer.

Many of you know that the effort in Topeka to repeal the ordinance providing protected class status for homosexuals in city hiring failed. This will embolden those who are opposed to amending the state constitution with the Marriage Amendment. And this SHOULD be a "wake-up" call for all of us who think marriage is worth protecting.

Please pray that the church will stand for God's principles. Pray that people will inform themselves about the issue. Pray that people will allow the Biblical worldview to guide their decisions rather than letting emotions dictate how they think. Pray that the turn-out for the election on April 5 will be huge, and that the marriage amendment will pass by a large margin. And please pray for the hearts of the opposition to be turned towards God.
